Hurricane Irma Update from StarVista LIVE

We at StarVista LIVE are deeply saddened by the tragic events brought on by Hurricane Irma throughout the Caribbean and Florida this past weekend. We watched as places we visited and enjoyed with our guests so many times over the years were significantly damaged in just a few hours. Our thoughts and prayers remain with those whose lives were lost or forever changed by this tragedy.

As a first step, we have been in contact with our colleagues throughout the region, to first and foremost check on their safety, and now as the storm passes, to help us assess the storm’s impact on our upcoming cruise programs. As you can imagine, the full assessment of damage will take some time and knowing that our guest’s safety is our highest priority, we will be as thorough as necessary.

At this point we can confirm that we are sailing the Malt Shop Memories Cruise 2017 as originally scheduled on November 5th from Ft. Lauderdale. However, the itinerary will change as we will no longer be going to St. Maarten and we are working with Holland America Line to finalize a new itinerary which we will communicate to you as soon as it’s confirmed. We will also continue to review the situation as it impacts our 2018 cruise programs. We’ve been advised that all 2018 itineraries which include St. Maarten will need to be changed. We are working with our partners on creating new itineraries and we will be in touch frequently in the coming weeks with all relevant details as the Caribbean works diligently to rebuild its tourism infrastructure.

We appreciate your patience as we work together with our partners to once again set sail on these unforgettable musical journeys, visiting the beautiful ports of call we all love. We know that when we sail, it will be a celebration of the great music and community that the music brings us and we can’t wait to see you again.

Again our thoughts and prayers are with all affected.
