A Letter from the Executive Producer
The ‘70s was a special time for many of us. It was certainly a time that is marked in history as we emerged from a cultural revolution and many of us were ready to explore a softer, tamer side of life. The music of the ‘70s reflects this with the emotional lyrics and musical notes reminiscent of sunnier days ahead. Unquestionably, it was a time with many different aspects, a whole lot of fun and a little bit of turmoil, but one thing remains certain – this is the music that we grew up to and it remains as strong and clear as those vintage pictures we bring out from time to time. We were young, somewhat naïve and learning how to make sense of the world around us and the relationships we were in.
As the holidays approach, I always reminisce with family and friends of the good ole days and why I appreciate the music that triggers these feelings and memories. We count our blessings that the ‘70s Rock & Romance musicians will share their talents and time with us as we recapture our youth while watching them perform in the intimate venues onboard the Celebrity Summit. Peter Frampton (special appearance 3/13/17), America, Little River Band, The Orchestra Starring Former Members of ELO, Christopher Cross, Ambrosia, Orleans, Stephen Bishop, Firefall, Player, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night and more, will be performing hit after memorable hit and sharing their stories and experiences during panel discussions and Q&As. Plus, we have been having so much fun planning the programming that will recapture the ‘70s spirit with theme nights and parties as we celebrate this incredible era together.
I look forward to you joining our team as we relive the past and make wonderful memories for the future aboard this Soft Rock Voyage of a Lifetime.
Warmest holiday wishes to you and yours,
Alan Rubens, Executive Producer
